Network of Emerging Opportunities (N.E.O.)
N.E.O. (Network of Emerging Opportunities) is intended to assist those recently graduated from high school or those who have acquired a GED by serving as an alternative to college while providing a career path into the IT field. San Diego Futures Foundation plans to enroll 48 participants and teach them the skills necessary to become an IT Technician. The NEO program offers:
- Access to FREE web based technology training
- Instructor-led lab time at the San Diego Futures Foundation
- Certification in CompTIA A+ Internships (Paid internships available for those who qualify)
- Practice job interviews
- Assistance with resume-writing
- Job Placement assistance after successfully completing all program requirements
(Please note the program will take place over a 9 month period and will follow the sequence of training, certification, internship and employment).

The CompTIA A+ certification is the industry standard for computer support technicians. The international, vendor-neutral certification proves competence in areas such as installation, preventative maintenance, networking, security and troubleshooting.
