Since 1999, San Diego Futures Foundation (SDFF) has provided technology resources to San Diego County nonprofits, schools and community-based organizations. In addition to computers, these organizations need technical services and skilled staff to help them accomplish their mission. To assist nonprofits with their technology needs, the SDFF Tech Team provides reliable, low-cost, professional Technical Services. SDFF’s Tech Team is experienced in configuring computers, network servers, switches, firewalls, routers, printers and more. Troubleshooting is our expertise!

Computers, networks, and software need updates, maintenance, and support in order to be effective resources in any organization. The SDFF Tech Team will help you manage and maintain your valuable technology resources by:

  • Troubleshooting and repairing desktop and software problems

  • Configuring and troubleshooting networks and servers

  • Identifying needs and sources for upgrades/updates

  • Implementing upgrades

  • Managing technology migrations

  • Installing and configuring hardware and software

  • Evaluating security threats

  • Removing viruses and spyware

SCHEDULED TECHNICAL MAINTENANCE

The SDFF Tech Team offers Scheduled Technical Maintenance to help ensure your computers, networks, and software remain functional and up-to-date. With a Scheduled Technical Maintenance contract, a Tech Team member will visit your office on a scheduled basis to:

  • Check hardware, software, and network for problems

  • Answer software, hardware, and networking questions; recommend solutions

  • Update software

REMOTE NETWORK MONITORING

The SDFF Tech Team will remotely monitor your network, helping you address issues and resolve problems. Remote Network Monitoring includes:

  • Servers and workstations

  • Routers, firewalls, and switches

  • Network availability

  • Website & application availability

  • Printers

  • Software update management

  • Security

TECHNICAL CONSULTING

Nonprofits often need advice on technology planning. The SDFF Tech Team will advise on:

  • Strategic technology planning

  • Fundraising and other database outsourcing

  • Technology budgeting

  • Upgrade and migration strategies

  • Disaster recovery planning

  • Computer lab implementation

New projects and programs often require customized software. The SDFF Tech Team will build custom applications, databases, and programs from the ground up. The SDFF Tech Team will provide:

  • Complete application development in .NET, PHP, and Perl

  • Macros and scripts for Office and other applications

  • Front-end applications that tie to existing databases

  • Web applications for your web site

WEB DESIGN/EMAIL SERVICES

The SDFF Tech Team provides professional web design, consulting, and hosting. Complete web services include:

  • Portal/Intranet development

  • Installation of Bulletin Boards and Chat software
