COMPUTER AND ELECTRONICS RECYCLING PROGRAM

The San Diego Futures Foundation (SDFF) Computer and Electronics Recycling Program was developed to collect and salvage used computer and electronics equipment. This program allows us to accept computers and monitors, as well as other electronic equipment from local businesses and corporations.

A list of common donated items might include: PC Desktop Systems, PC Laptop Systems, CD or DVD ROM Drives, Copy Machines, CPU (Partial Systems), Digital Cameras, Docking Stations, Pen/Drawing Tablets, Fax Machines, Flatbed Scanners, Floppy Disk Drives, Handheld Scanners, Hard Disk Drives, Keyboards, Modems, Monitors (LCD and CRT), Mice, Network Devices, Network Interface Cards, Plotters, Printers, Software and software licenses, Sound Cards, Tape Backup Drives, Video Cards, and Zip Drives.

We work with a state-certified hazardous waste handler to salvage and recycle equipment. The funds obtained from the salvage of the equipment are then used to fund our local technology inclusion programs.

If your business or organization has surplus computers and electronic equipment, they can be donated to the foundation to help alleviate the digital divide in San Diego County and to ensure that all San Diego County residents have access to the technology resources that many of us take for granted.
